ACES raise funds for new play equipment
This year we are delighted to have been able to secure the lease on the old school house which is attached to the school. This space has now been redecorated and re-purposed as Eyke Music House providing us with rooms for individual and group lessons. Next to the building is a piece of wasteland. This was once used by a former nursery school as a playground but has long since fallen into disrepair.
The area would make a wonderful addition to our outside spaces both for playtimes and for learning. The all-weather surface would mean it could be used all year round and the equipment we have chosen is all easily moved . This will encourage the children to build their own play areas and use the equipment in different ways and will all also mean the space can be used flexibly.
We have already raised most of the funds through donations and ACES events and seek help for the final push to meet our goal.
All donations big & small are gratefully received.
