Achilles Revamped!

For over thirteen years, Achilles Art Cafe has been the coffee shop Orlando has relied on to be their "home away from home." There have been quite a few upgrades in the past year with new ownership, however, we still have a long way to go to get to where we want to be!

We're asking for help from the community to fund a new espresso machine & additional new appliances that would allow us to kick-start online ordering and delivery app purchases. Our current espresso machine is 13 years old and is the original machine from when we opened. New appliances such as refrigerators, coolers, kitchen equipment and storage cabinets will help boost our efficiency in delivering your orders. 

Since last year, we also have entered a new lease with the Wilshire Plaza building. This caused our rent to increase approximately 2.5x the previous rent price. We have tried our best to keep our menu items fair, including keeping our sandwiches less than $10. In order to stay this way, we are also asking the community for any help that they can put in for helping us maintain our current operations.

If there is money leftover after purchasing equipment, we will be allocating the rest towards our rent and inventory. We want to be able to keep the location at Wilshire plaza since it has been there since the beginning. We know our coffee shop has been home for a lot of you, including ourselves, and is filled with nostalgia.  We want to keep it going for more years to come but we definitely need some help!

Right now, we are aiming to purchase an updated version of our current espresso machine called Nuova Simonelli Appia 2. It is currently priced around $7,000 with installation included.
