Linda Ackerman, Montague House Fire

On Friday, April 3rd, 2015, Linda Ackerman lost her house of 44 years to a devasting fire.  Luckily she was able to get out safely with her pj's, a pair of socks and Smudge her cat.  Linda is an amazing woman.  She has given her life to volunteer work and helping everyone she possibly could even at the expense of her own needs.  It's time our community gives back to her.  She doesn't even know about this page and will probably be upset with me for creating it but Linda and her family need all the help they can get even though she won't tell you this.  Yes, there will be insurance money, but we know the red tape that involves.  Insurance money can't replace the photo albums and keepsakes and the memories that were created in that home for her and her girls.  Linda has been the Branch Manager for the Turners Falls Greenfield Savings Branch for years.  I don't think there isn't a person in town that doesn't know her or who has not been affected by her generosity and kindness.  Help me support the family that has become part of my family in this time of healing and rebuilding.  Thank you so much.
