"Act Now: Empower Dignified Returns for Nepalese Migrants"

Hello, my name is Priyanka Shahi. Having spent 16 challenging years abroad as a migrant, raising a family single-handedly and battling mental health issues, I deeply understand the hardships that many of our fellow Nepalese face. Every year, thousands leave Nepal seeking better opportunities, yet tragically, more than 1,000 migrants perish annually, with 12% succumbing to suicide. Facing exploitation, mental health crises, and severe isolation, these migrants often lack sufficient support, which drives my commitment to Konektee Nepal.
At Konektee, we strive to change the often-overlooked narrative of mental health in migration. We believe no migrant should navigate these challenges alone. Our comprehensive approach includes pre-departure training to equip migrants with the skills to manage mental health issues and cultural transitions, along with continuous support through our 24/7 counseling services, peer support groups, and crisis hotline.
As migrants prepare to return home, Konektee offers tailored rehabilitation services and career guidance. Our "Return Ready Program" focuses on mental health support, skill development, and community integration, all crafted to ensure migrants return home with dignity and the ability to thrive.
We are launching a comprehensive 4-week pilot program from January 2nd to June 30th, 2025, aiming to empower 20 Nepalese migrants with the necessary tools for a dignified return. This includes mental health support, employment assistance, and social reintegration services. Your generous contribution of ₹493,400 (approximately $3682) will fund essential counselling, skill development workshops, and community integration activities, helping these migrants not only to return home but to prosper.
Every donation makes a significant difference in the lives of these migrants, enabling us to provide the vital services they desperately need. Join us in transforming their lives by contributing to our campaign today. Together, we can ensure that Nepalese migrants return home not just to survive, but to flourish.
