Gas Mask Fundraiser!

A large chemical fire broke out early Sunday, Sept. 29, at a lab in Conyers, billowing out large plumes of black and orange smoke that reportedly contains chlorine and other chemicals. The fire took place at BioLab, a manufacturer of pool and spa treatment products. Officials said the smoke plumes could linger for days." Mainline ATL. Over 17,000 residents had to evacuate, and 90,000 people were sheltering in place. Shelter in place orders remain for residents of Conyers between 7pm and 7am.

I am raising $10,000 to get gas masks to those affected by the BioLab fire. The goal with the $10,000 is to purchase 210 elastomeric masks and filters that can filter this type of toxic gas. Mask Bloc Atl has agreed to connect with folks in Conyers and distribute the gas masks to those close to the BioLab fire.

If the gas dissipates...

If the gas dissipates before we reach our goal, any funds raised will still go to residents of Conyers and be informed by their needs in the aftermath of constant chemical exposure. We will be transparent in updates here as to how those funds are being utilized.

Who am I?

I'm just a concerned citizen from Illinois who wants to help out! A lot of times people want to support but don't really know how, and I didn't see the government in Georgia doing much to help citizens in this time of crisis.
