Update: First and foremost we would like to thank you all for the continued support for Amanda. The last few weeks have been a rollercoaster. Amanda's cancer is aggressive, further tests revealed that Amanda's cancer is Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Due to this the doctors were forced to be equally aggressive. Amanda underwent an invasive surgery where the doctors are hopeful they were able to remove all of the cancerous cells. To ensure the success of the treatment Amanda has temporarily moved to Salt Lake City and will undergo Chemotherapy and Radiation six days a week for the next six weeks. We are asking for your continued support, positive thoughts, and prayers as she continues to battle! Again thank you all for your donations thus far!
Amanda has dedicated her life to serving and supporting those who are struggling with Mental Health and Addiction Recovery. She travels through life lightly with grace and empathy for all. While simultaneously holding herself and others accountable and promoting motivation through her own personal experience and wisdom. Amanda is devoted, attentive, and compassionate towards anyone she encounters.
On Monday, October 2nd Amanda was diagnosed with Mouth Cancer, also known as Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC). We are asking for our community, friends, and family to rally together and help support Amanda as she navigates the tribulations of treatment. Amanda will be receiving care at Huntsman Cancer Institute located in Salt Lake, Utah. Huntsman is roughly a four-hour drive from where Amanda lives and works in Elko, NV. We are hoping to ease the financial burden of medical bills, travel, hotel stays, and possible hospital admits while she receives the best care she can. We appreciate you all and hope that we can support Amanda in the same way that she supports so many.
