Activities for Darwin Young Cancer Patients

Donation protected
In 2018 my son Shay O'Reilly was backpacking in Europe when he suffered a seizure. He had no previous warning signs; it came out of the blue. Scans showed
that he had a brain tumour. He returned to Australia, had surgery in Adelaide, and then transferred all his subsequent treatment to our hometown, Darwin. The Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre at Royal Darwin Hospital was the treatment hub.
Shay had radiation and chemotherapy. A few months after completing treatment the tumour returned. He had further surgery but the tumour returned again, this time inoperable. Shay passed away in April 2021. He was 27.
In February 2019 Shay and I enjoyed travelling around Tasmania in a campervan. Shay was still doing chemotherapy at this time. We discovered Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Short Walks.
I am seeking sponsorship to walk as many Tasmanian short walks (around 44) as possible in November/December 2022 to provide funds for young cancer patients for experiences or activities they and their support people can enjoy.
