As of 2 weeks ago I left kitchen shift early with sharp pain under my rib cage and rushed that night to the emergency room. Later that night we found out my kidneys were functioning at 15% and were almost double the size of normal. After many biopsies and blood test my creatinine levels spiked to 8.3, and all of my electrolytes were dangerously low. After about 5 days at our local hospital and getting a dialysis port put in, I was transferred to the hospital of University of Penn. In the same night I got immediately moved to ICU after my numbers spiraled again, and needed many infusions to stabilize me. I am now more stable out of ICU and off dialysis, still stuck in the hospital for a month of strong chemo treatment. I’m 18 years old trying to finish my senior year of highschool, I want to walk with my friends and beat this cancer in me I won’t stop fighting! My mom is fighting hard right by me trying to find ways to take care of bills and keep her peace. We are both gonna be out of work for many months and I’m aiming to try and get disability benefits since I have no method of income. Anything helps please send prayers I believe god has a plan and I refuse to let it stop here!
