Peace Kids to the Rescue Art Show
Donation protected
In 2018, 6 year old Lucas Kreider, had the idea to organize and kids art show to raise money for "those who have less than I do."
As a result, Peace Kids to the Rescue Art Show and Silent Auction was born. In its inagural year, the show featured art from over 50 children and raised $2,400 for Church World Services and the Lancaster County Homeless Coalition.
Peace Kids has raised $16,000 for these two amazing organizations.
This year the show will be held at the Ware Center on Friday, September 1st from 5:30-8 PM and will feature art from over 45 children, including four refugee children supported by Church World Services.
We aim to raise well over $6,000 and empower children to change the world through creativity and compassion. Church World Services has committed to using their donation to fund "Girls that Code" to teach refugee girls aged 11-21 digital literacy and other STEM skills. Lancaster Homeless Coalition is using its portion to help create a "Peace Kids" corner in a city housing city to encourage children and teens to make art and hone their creative genius.
We've created this GoFundMe site for those who are not able to attend the event or, instead of purchasing art, would rather donate to our cause. For those who donate $55 or more, we will mail or deliver a stroopie cookie from the Lancaster Sweet Shoppe located in downtown Lancaster City.
