SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS!!

As a special, we are offering one free year of membership for a donation towards our ADA bathroom costs.  This can be used for a new membership or a renewal.


$50 donation - receive a renewal/new $25 membership (non-exhibiting)

$100 donation - receive a renewal/new $50 artist membership

$150 donation - receive a renewal/new $85 artist membership (non-volunteer)

$1000 donation - receive a $500 lifetime membership


If you are a member and already renewed for the year - we will extend your membership by one additional year.  We need your support to better offer all of our programs to all of our community members. Please help us to make a more inclusive La Grange Art League.

We are the La Grange Art League - a non-profit community art center in La Grange, IL.  For more than 85 years we have been the place where thousands of artists, students, and members of our community have gathered to experience art.

We fulfill our mission – to promote the arts and the artists in our community – by offering several important services:

-      We offer art classes to help inspire and develop the artistic talent of our members

-      We produce art shows and exhibits to build the appreciation of art in our community

-      We offer scholarships to school-aged artists to encourage their artistic pursuits

We receive no government or private foundation money to fuel our mission. We rely solely on income from our classes, art sales, membership dues, rental income and donations to keep things going.

Providing Greater Accessibility   

Back in the 1980’s, our members purchased our building at 122 Calendar Ave in downtown La Grange. It was an old building with a leaky roof, a wet basement, and an unsuitable floor plan, but with a lot of imagination and effort it has been transformed into a suitable gallery, and two classrooms.

The property is an important, strategic asset of the La Grange Art League and plays a central role in the execution of our mission. We believe art is best experienced in person, and the Calendar Avenue property is where that happens. But the building is showing its age and needs some repair and updating.

Notably, we need to ensure unrestricted access, for all our community members, to our facility and our offerings. We serve people young and old, many with physical limitations, and some that have difficulty negotiating stairs. In fact, many of the people that helped to build our art league are no longer able to enjoy its offerings.

Recently our Board of Directors approved a capital improvement program that will significantly improve the accessibility of our facility to community members with physical limitations. The first step, and the focus of this campaign, is to build an Americans with Disabilities Act compliant bathroom.
