Ada Braelyn Nzabarinda and Nyiramutuzo Mukarwego

With great sadness and a heavy heart, the family is establishing this GoFundMe campaign to help cover the funeral and burial expenses for the unexpected passing of a grandmother, Nyiramutuzo Mukarwego (61), and her granddaughter, Ada Braelyn Nzabarinda (3).

Nyira and Braelyn were asleep on Sunday, March 19th, 2023 when an accidental fire engulfed Mrs. Mukarwego’s apartment home in the Stonemont Village Apartments, Jacksonville, Florida. Both tragically succumbed to smoke inhalation. Rukundo, Ms. Murkarwego’s son was also in the apartment and sustained life-threatening injuries. He is currently being treated in the burn unit at the University of Florida Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

Nyiramutuzo Mukarwego was born on January 1, 1962 and passed away on March 19, 2023 at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville Florida, USA.

Ada Braelyn Nzabarinda, born May 30, 2019 left us on March 19, 2023 at University of Florida Shands Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida, USA.

The unexpected loss of our family members brings a huge financial burden as the estimated cost for funerals and burials will exceed $10,000. Any assistance from you will help us say goodbye to our beloved family members and would be greatly appreciated.

We ask that you keep our family in your thoughts and prayers at this, the most difficult time in our lives. Both are gone now, but neither will ever be forgotten.
