Ada Comstock Scholar Alum Dahlia Rodriguez

Calling all Smithies, former students, parents, and pursuers of dreams!

Ada alumnae Dahlia Rodriguez and her two children are in dire need of our support.

Dahlia is a long-time academic trailblazer that has consistently achieved high marks, honors awards, fellowships, and accolades for her incredible work and astounding determination as a student. Dahlia has done all this while working as a research assistant at UMASS and single parent to two children, ages 7 and 15. Dahlia has been the heart center and caretaker for not just her children but for her extended family, including her grandmother, who passed this last year.

While Dahlia started her college career at Kingsborough Community College in New York, she quickly moved on to finish her BA at Smith College as an Ada Comstock Scholar and is now earning her FNP at Emory College in Atlanta, GA. Dahlia has a strong love for her work and even more compassion and light for her patients and colleagues.

Through all of Dahlia’s successes, she has been navigating solo and needs our help crossing the finish line. Due to unexpected hardships, Dahlia is without income and traditional school resources/aid. The funds we raise will help this family secure the most basic of needs- safe, stable housing and food. This will allow each of them to decrease the burden and worry of uncertainty and focus on doing what this family does best- thrive!
