ADA Ramp for Mindy & Mom.

Hi my name is Jovita and we are in need of assistance.

Due to age and serious health issues we need to have a handicap ramp built so we can safely access our residence. The current front entrance is a concrete slab with a step down but over time the concrete walkway in front of the slab has shifted and sunk further down. This has now created a very unsafe entrance for our 80 year old mom and our sister who is currently going thru chemo treatments. We have already experienced several falls but thankfully no injuries. A safe entrance is needed as soon as possible.

We have talked with several contractors and have found one that is able to do the necessary work to fix this unsafe entrance. He plans on removing the current concrete and pouring a new concrete slab with a larger platform that will be level with the door and add an ADA compliant ramp.

Time is of the essence as the weather in Chicago will soon be freezing and putting in a new ramp needs to be done before the cold sets in otherwise we will have to wait till next spring.

I am hoping that with the help of family and friends we can raise the necessary funds to complete this project right away. We understand times are tough and everyone is struggling financially but if you can help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated.
