Ada Swenson & her family

Hi Family and Friends,

In light of recent news that Ada’s most recent treatment hasn’t been working, there has been an overwhelming response from friends, family, and community members asking for ways to help. We are amazed and grateful for the support that they have gotten so far. Currently, you can support them by signing up to bring them food (through Meal Train signup), keeping them in your thoughts and prayers, setting up playdates for Oliver, etc.

I want to give everyone another option to help where they can. I have put together this GoFundMe page for Ada Swenson and her family. This is also a continuation of the fundraising support the family received from their incredible daycare.

Ada was diagnosed with acute leukemia on May 5, 2022. Since then she has been in and out of the hospital, receiving several rounds of chemo and a bone marrow transplant. Ada's cancer was in remission for a little while but then relapsed in December. As a result, both Tami and Joel have taken leaves from work to focus on the family including taking Ada to receive experimental treatments outside of Wisconsin.

Our current goal is to raise money that will go towards mortgage payments, medical bills, and food for the months when the Swenson family has no income. Any money received in excess of these expenses will be donated to childhood cancer research. We don’t want finances to become a worry and concern as they navigate the road to recovery and raise their three kids.
