Adam Holzrichter's Last Round of Chemo Treatment
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Unfortunately, the cancer is back… I’m optimistic and your support has been instrumental in my recovery. After believing we had defeated the cancer with chemotherapy last year, new growth occurred in what we thought was dead tissue. If you’re able to financially support this final round, via a donation or purchase of art, it would help me immensely on my final road to recovery.
I’ll start with the good news…. A few weeks ago, we used advanced robotic surgery to successfully extract the affected lymph nodes and tumor using 7 incisions on the right side of my torso. Thankfully, my kidney and a portion of my intestine, where the tumor had adhered, were saved, and I didn't lose any organs.
The tough news is I thought it would end there, although to ensure all remaining cancer cells are eradicated, I'll need to go through two final rounds of high-dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. This treatment will have me as an inpatient at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for a total of 6 weeks, beginning in August. There is every reason to believe this will be the last chapter of my fight.
During this time, I am unable to work and have exhausted my financial resources. I'm seeking to raise $20,000 to cover my bills, loss of income, and further testing over the next three months. Your generosity will help me focus on recovery without the added stress of financial burdens.
Purchasing Art:
My works, along with a handful of good friends, have beautiful works at discounted pricing with 100% of the funds going towards my recovery. Honestly, I’d feel more comfortable if you purchased art rather than a donation, as I'm providing something of value in return for your support. Your help means the world to me, and owning a piece of art can be a lasting reminder of the difference you've made in my life.
These works can all be found here, although please reach out directly to me ( Adam Holzrichter ) via social media, email, my website, or phone prior to purchasing:
Thank you for your support and understanding.
