Funeral and scholarship for Adam DuBois and Son

Hi, we are Michael and Mary DuBois. Our son Adam passed away suddenly in a heat-related accident in Arizona on July 14th, 2023 at the age of 42. He has a son by the name of Connor DuBois who will now be raised without his father. Adams's mother and I live in Minnesota and are in the process of arranging his funeral and transportation back home to Minnesota so his family and friends can say their final goodbyes. We will likely have a celebration of Adams's life where his golf career started at Oakmarsh Golf Course in Oakdale Minnesota, Adam's hometown. Adam was a very active little boy as he excelled in Hockey, Baseball, Tennis and of course, Golf, which he played very well to this day. We would like to continue what Adam has started in Connor and that is his love to compete and play sports. Connors's Mother Cassey is also an accomplished athlete who excelled in Volleyball at the college level and still plays to this day. Cassey has been intramental in Connor's love of sports as well and cheers for her Colorado and Arizona Teams while Connor cheers for the Vikings, Twins, and Wild of Minnesota (I believe that is to keep Dad and Papa Happy). Connor currently excels in basketball and flag football. Before Adams's death, a vacation was planned for this week for Adam and Connor to visit Minnesota where water skiing behind Nana and Papa's pontoon was going to be attempted and roller hockey was going to be introduced Minnesota style. Last summer Connor was intoduced to Tubbing behind that same pontoon and Snowmobiling this past winter on Nana and Papa's Ski-Doos and nearly froze his fingers off as he insisted on driving Papa's sled. As Adam's parents, we would like to set up a scholarship program in Adam's name at Tartan Highschool where Adam achieved all-conference and all-state honors and set two-course records at Tartan Park and Southview Country Club during his senior year to be awarded the top male and female golfers of the year as an annual award. We would like to continue Connor's athletic development with league play and sporting camp participation whether it be Arizona or Minnesota as he grows and finds his passion as Adam and Cassey did. We would also like to set up a 529 account for Connor's secondary education. Thank you all for the love and Kind words that have been shared about our son over the last few days. They have given us moments of peace during this incredibly traumatic event. We celebrated Adam's Arizona Life at Gray Hawk Golf Course This past Friday where the outpouring of love and respect for Adam was a blessing, to say the least. Current and former co-workers along with Gray Hawk players and guests came to pay respects and say goodbye. We will be having a Celebration of Adams's Life in Minnesota at Oakmarsh Golf Course where Adam started his Golf career when he was I believe 15 years old. Sunday, August 13th, 2-5 PM. We would love to see all who were a part of Adam's life.
