Adam Nicely Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Adam Nicely passed away on October 6th at the young age of 36 -- leaving behind his wife, Brooke, and their daughter, Riley, as well as his parents, Mary Helen and Ben, his brothers, Jon and Ben, extended family and countless lifelong friends.

The family is devastated, heartbroken, and still very much in shock from this unimaginable loss and are asking for prayers to lift them up at this time, but funeral arrangements can be costly -- not to mention the unquantifiable effect that Adam's absence will have on those closest to him as they now must move forward without him for love and support.

We're raising these funds for his wife and his daughter as they begin to navigate the uncertain world ahead without him.  All funds will go to them.

Will you consider contributing to Adam's Memorial Fund?

ABOUT ADAM

It has been said that Adam is best described by the 4H's: Household, Hard work, Horses and Hunting. His love for his Household always came first...the order of the other three depended on the season.

There's a fifth, too...and that's Heart. He had a heart of gold. He had a kind and mischievous soul with an unparalleled love for his animals and of the outdoors. I'd swear he could read the mind of any horse and could find his way off of the top of any mountain by the sound the wind made (or more likely by the distant howls of his beloved hound dogs). While he could be mistaken for quiet at times, he was always larger than life.

Even in life, the stories told of Adam's adventures were always a mainstay of our family lore -- over time accumulating into a collection mythic tall tales of a sort.

He was "The kid who rode on the back of a BULL in a parade while STANDING UP the entire time"... or "The one who lassoed a wild turkey with some string he'd found in front of a troop of awestruck Boy Scouts at the Goshen Scout Camp"...

As Adam's first cousins (on his mother's side), it is safe to say that a lot of our own childhood adventures and memories would have been a lot less exciting if Adam weren't a part of it. And now all of his closest family members and friends are left to sort through all of the memories to remember the gentle, funny, sweet and sincere soul he was behind all those "tall tales."

HOW CAN YOU HELP ADAM'S FAMILY?

If you are looking for a way to support Adam's family, any amount will help. Even a small amount can go a long way to help Brooke and Riley in their difficult road ahead.

If you personally are unable to help financially, consider giving this a share and send a prayer to his family.

We also encourage you to share any memorable and fun "tall tale" you may have of Adam in the comments. And, as always, remember to hug those dearest to you while you can.

With love, from three of Adam's first cousins. ❤️
