Adam Stover Funeral Expense Fund
Donation protected
On Saturday July 11, Adam Stover was killed in a car accident on his way to work. Adam was a dedicated State Park Service employee for 10 years working in a part-time seasonal position. He always came to work early and ready to start the day. When Adam did not arrive to work on Saturday, Park staff were in contact with his father Bob in an attempt to locate him. It was with deep sadness we found out that Adam passed away. The accident took place on the street he lived with his parents, Bob and Maureen, whom he helped with all aspects of their needs.
Adam had spent time working in three different State Parks, and he touched each one in a different but profound way. He was very well liked by all staff, becoming part of a work “family.” His calm and quiet demeanor was peppered with some dry humorous one-liners, and he always said he would be on his best behavior! He has touched us so deeply that a few of his work family created this campaign to ask for your help.
Adam was always there if you needed a hand. He was very fond of parks and open spaces, often staying after work to hike trails. He was determined to get a permanent position with the State Park Service and that goal was realized when he was chosen for a permanent position. He was so happy and proud to be offered the position, and it showed in his dedication to public spaces.
The NJ State Park Service was looking forward to having Adam on staff full time. He had put himself through Vo-Tech for welding and plumbing to develop his skills to better service the park and its visitors. Unfortunately, he was not able to start that position before his untimely death, leaving his parents to pay for all associated funeral and burial costs on their own. This fundraiser will help ease some of the financial burden of burying their youngest son.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.
