Join Adam Wall’s Stolen Vehicle Fundraiser!!

Hey family and friends:) If you hadn’t heard, our dear friend and Taos tribe member, Adam Wall, had his vehicle stolen recently. Besides being a violation of the rights to his hard earned possessions, this act was a violation of trust. Trust in the goodness of our fellow humans, trust in the safety of ourselves (and our personal belongings!) in this world.
Let’s all show Adam (what he already knows) that trust goes way deep.. trust in the lessons and the unfolding of the universe and that no matter what happens to us individually, we are here as a community to support each other! Meaning, let’s all pitch in some dinero for his vehicle fund:)
Adam’s wallet, phone, and musical gear were in his vehicle when it was stolen as well. We’re trying to raise as much money as possible to offset this setback, and get him some reliable wheels again. And a new microphone so his beautiful harmonies with Sanji band can be heard!
Everything helps, so don’t be shy if all you can afford to contribute is peanuts. I think Adam likes peanuts..
Thank you all in advance on behalf of our brother Adam. And it might be a nice little surprise for him if he doesn’t hear right away about our little community effort to help him out (wink wink). Don’t let that keep you from sharing on social media! Chances are it’ll get around to him pretty immediately:)
EDIT: Since Adam immediately found out about his “secret” fundraiser :)
from Adam:
WOW...! THANK YOU ALL.
Surprise fundraiser reached meeee… :D As soon as I heard of this I started crying and went outside to give my happy tears to the Earth. I am coming to a more ready and balanced place to share about the whole thing after some challenging weeks and have been asked to shed some light on what happened and what everyone’s support here is going towards. I’m not really sure where to begin (or just how to express it) as I’m still experiencing some shock around it, so I’ll just jump right in.
My Silver 2017 VW Alltrack Wagon was stolen about two weeks ago while in Santa Fe on a hike with a friend. With the help of some dear friends, I was able to activate FindMyiPhone (my cell was hidden underneath the carseat) to track my car down. We had it’s location for 30 or 40 minutes…despite knowing my car’s location aaaand a friend sending a video of it where it was parked, the police were too occupied with other calls to check it out or meet me until hours later. The culprits had driven away during that time, and the 2nd FindMyiPhone location found my phone shattered on the road.
I’d saved money for many many years farming, volunteering, working doubles at an organic market & touring the country for the sake of buying land or the like. Alas, my previous vehicle’s head gasket blew and all the needed repairs were too much to justify the expense. So I decided to purchase my first dependable, low-mileage car to carry me and my growth for the next 10 years or so. This cost me essentially my life savings. I was preparing to sell my old vehicle for what I could get, and then upgrade my new car’s insurance to full coverage. Sadly, my car was stolen during the interim period while I was insuring both vehicles so I did not have theft coverage.
I’d saved and spent around $18,000 on my trusty steed. My wallet (with I.D.’s and $300-400 cash inside), my cell phone, about $1,000 of music gear—mics, cables, stands, drum throne, collection of auxiliary purcussion, etc.—tools, jackets, camping gear and then some, were all in my car at the time it was taken. I also just happened to have purchased new tires after getting a flat which cost $800 a few weeks ago as well. Oof, I know..haha.
Thankfully my friend gifted me an old phoneee and my lovely landlord loaned me her old Camry for at least the next 2 months! That car had been sitting for years, was filled with sh**badabah and needed lots of love. More recent expenses…I had to replace two tires after getting flats to make it drivable.
And the adventure continues! This past Sunday, at a stop light, my car was completely stopped, and someone didn’t see the light was red and nailed me from behind. I hit my head on the steering wheel, and my car hit the one in front of me. So…I’m literally writing this after coming home from getting x-rays on my spine from the E.R. (all clear, healthy and loving, just a bit stiff in the neck and spine for the next few days I’m told <3). It’s been a lot all at once, y’all…so I want to express how much your support means to me through this challenging time.
Thanks to each and every one of you deeply for acknowledging my spirit and devotional dance of doing all I can to smile into our community family! It’s been a joy shining into eachother’s journeys over the years, and has been the most powerful when we’ve really needed it. I’m so touched by all the ways our community is guiding me to receive support and love.
My tree was shaken, but there were ripe fruits on that tree with plenty of seeds. I’m grateful in so many ways that this quick medicine is revealing a clarity of presence that exists within me that nobody will EVER be able to steal. I am available to grace in this process, will be still when I need to be, and dance wildly once the foundation is ready for it again :P
Big g-rad-itude to my fellow SANJI brothers Miles Anderson & Mitchell Olson…!! This GoFundMe was a total surprise effort initiated by their caring & musical hearts. SO looking forward to drumming and singing my beating heart for ya’ll very soon!
Thanks for all you do,
~Adam
