Adam Wyman medical expenses

On Sunday, November 19th Adam started to feel unwell with normal oncoming cold symptoms (crummy, cold, tired). He slept all day and woke up with night sweats in the middle of the night. He couldn’t manage to cool off and on Monday morning he struggled to shower without feeling as though he was going to pass out. He managed to go to work but when he got home, he again slept all afternoon / night. The same symptoms continued for both Tuesday and Wednesday along with vomitting and going to the bathroom more frequently while he did still go to work. He kept a very light diet as any food/sugar would upset his stomach. On Thanksgiving, Adam managed to spend time with family and stayed awake almost the whole day but ate very little. Once we got home he slept / laid in bed from about 6PM-9AM. Our family had a weekend trip planned to go to Mankato which Adam did push through in order to see the Kiwanis light show with The Boys, Lindsey and Family. When there was down time he did stay in bed at the hotel and the night sweats persisted. All week we tried everything within our knowledge that could possibly make him feel better. Thankfully he was able to stay mostly hydrated. On Sunday, November 26th, Adam went to Urgent Care and thankfully his vitals were all good however, they were worried about liver failure and sent him to the Emergency room. Once in the ER they ran multiple blood tests, took a urine sample and gave him IV fluids along with medication to subside his headache. The urine sample showed there was blood in his urine and the blood tests ruled out COVID and Influenza. Since there was blood in his urine the doctor ordered a CT scan of his abdomen. The CT scan showed that his spleen and lymph nodes were enlarged. Unfortunately, the doctor was worried about Lymphoma. They took him for an additional CT scan of his chest to look for any masses which it showed none. With his vitals being good and blood work not showing anything they sent him home that night. We tried to make him comfortable at home with Tylenol, pedialyte, ice packs, heating pads etc. and on Monday, Adam saw an Oncologist. The doctor ordered a CTI to pull a biopsy of his lymph node. The doctor said that if he does in fact have Lymphoma, it is an aggressive form which is actually a “good” thing as there is a treatment plan for it unlike slow acting Hodgkin Lymphoma. More blood tests were pulled and we were sent home to wait for a call to schedule the biopsy and results of the tests. Later in the week we were told his Mono test came back negative but still no call to schedule the biopsy. Monday through Wednesday Adam rested on the couch and tried to eat enough to give him some energy. The vomiting subsided but he was getting fevers between 101-103 every night. Doing everything we could to bring down the fever, it would come back after the Tylenol had worn off. His vitals and oxygen were stable but he was either freezing or sweating. On Thursday November 30th, Adam had eaten about a meals worth throughout the whole day but was extremely dizzy, light headed, lethargic and couldn’t fight off the fever. He started to have shortness of breath and we called 911. They checked his vitals, oxygen and did an EKG. All were looking ok but a little elevated. To be safe he went back to the ER and more blood tests were drawn, a CT scan was taken to check for blood clots and he was admitted into the hospital. Overnight, Adam spiked a fever of 104.7 and his pulse wasn’t stable. Unfortunately the only news we currently have is the tests that have ruled out certain things and that he has a mild case of pneumonia which he will be put on antibiotics for. We are still waiting for a biopsy of his lymphnode and the biggest concern is that this is in fact B-Cell Lymphoma.

The foreseeable future is unknown until they can finally get some definite answers. With Adam being out of work and being the main provider for his family, this is a very scary and hard time for the family. As many of you know, Adam’s pride and joy are his 4 boys, Eli (15), Rylan (9), Brayden (8), and Grayson (5) along with his fiancé Lindsey. His biggest hope and wish is that this will all be figured out soon and he will be home and healthy for Christmas with his family!
