Adamas against Neuroblastoma

Esame Lietuvių šeima gyvenati Jungtineje Karalysteje, Adamas mūsų vienintelis sūnelis labai lauktas ir planuotas vaikelis, kuriam greit 3 metukai. Mūsų superherojus kovoja prieš Neuroblastoma vėžį, kuris jam buvo diagnozuotas vos 14 mėnesių amžiaus. Gydomes Kembridže( Addenbrooke’s ligoninej) po beveik pusantrų metų gydymo: chemoterapijų, inksto pašalinimo operacijos, kamieninių ląstelių transplantacijos, 12 seansų radiacijos, imunoterapijos dar vienos operacijos, vėžys vis sugrįžta. Deja įvykusi vėžinių ląstelių mutaciją MYCN suteikia mažai vilčių Adamui atrasti gydymo būdą kurį ligoninės galėtų pasiūlyti, kad užkirstų kelią vėžiui, siūloma chemoterapija tik pristabdanti vėžines ląsteles, bet šiuo atveju negydanti. Viltis yra - klinikiniai bandymai CAR-T ląstelių terapija, Romoje kurie nėra deja kompensuojami, jų kaina siekia apie 300.000£. Norėdami Adamui suteikti galimybę pasveikti susimokėti turime patys, šie klinikiniai tyrimai, jau yra padeja vaikams su tokiu pačiu vėžiu kaip Adamas, tad labai tikimes, jog ir mūsų vaikui pavyks. Romos Bambino Gesù vaikų ligoninės mokslininkai parodė, kad gydymas, vadinamas chimeriniu antigeno receptorių T-ląstelėmis (CAR-T), jau naudojamas kraujo navikams gydyti, taip pat yra saugus ir veiksmingas prieš neuroblastomą – labiausiai paplitusį vaikų solidinį naviką. Hello everyone, my name is Egle, and I’m a mum of a wonderful almost 3-year-old superboy whose name is Adamas.

Adamas was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer ( when a solid 13 cm big tumor has been found around his left kidney) back in July 2022 at only 14 months old and Adamas has been fighting ever since. 5 cycles of Chemo and very complicated 11 hours surgery to remove his left kidney who’s been wrapped with a tumor took place in November 2022. Unfortunately, post-op routine scans showed that the tumor was growing back from the cancer cells that had been left around his main blood vessels during the surgery. So we started a new 2023 year with a very intensive treatment induction chemotherapy, high dose of chemotherapy, steam cells transplant, 12 cycles of radiotherapy, and immunotherapy…very unfortunate but having another routine scan in February 2024, a PET CT scan showed a new 3 cm big tumor in his abdomen area, another surgery to get tumor removed, after all the tests we find out that there is some cancer cells amplification called MYCN doesn’t give a good prognosis that this cancer can’t be beaten by any more treatments that hospital has to offer. And more likely it will return if nothing going to get done. The only big hope is to get Adamas for a clinical trial that takes place in Rome called CAR-T but it’s not funded by the national health service and has to be paid by parents.

The trials cost at least 300.000£ which is just a crazy amount of money for any of us, but it is crucial and can help to save Adama’s life. So today I’m on my knees asking to help us get this crazy amount of money and give Adamas a chance to live. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart ❤️
