Hi my name is Nayeli Jimenez Adame and I am organizing this GoFundMe campaign on behalf of my mother, Pilar Adame, to gather much-needed

resources in support of our family in Acapulco who was affected by Hurricane Otis.

This includes:

-My aunt Rosario Adame, her husband, and pup

-My cousin Laila Chassin Adame

-My cousin Nubia Chassin Adame, her husband, their 7-year old daughter Vitali, and pup

-My cousin Isreal Chassin Adame, his wife, their children, Brayan (13) and Linda (12) and their two cats and pup.

-Also their elderly neighbor who takes care of her disabled son and who they've all grown up with

As many of you know, Hurricane Otis was a historic Category 5 that hit Acapulco, Mexico, on Oct. 24, leaving behind devastation, impacting not only the city but also the entire surrounding areas. Thousands of lives are upended, homes shattered, and essential services like electricity and communication

severed.

While we're not accustomed to seeking assistance, the sheer magnitude of Hurricane Otis' destruction has compelled us to seek your help. Our primary objective is to pool resources and support our family in Acapulco during these trying times.

After several harrowing days of agonizing silence, we finally managed to reestablish communication, and the reports that followed painted a grim picture of the extent of the devastation. The situation in Acapulco has us deeply concerned, as we worry about the timeliness and effectiveness of official aid

reaching our family.

You might wonder why they have yet to leave for unaffected areas, but the on-ground reality is dire. They must remain, not out of choice but out of necessity, to safeguard whatever fragments of their homes and possessions that have survived this catastrophe. Their determination to hold on is a

testament to their resilience in the face of overwhelming adversity.
