Adam Makaio King Memorial Fund
Donation protected
This is a fund to help Autumn (10), Sarah (8) and Elijah King (5), who lost their father to a drug overdose on February 4, 2107. Adam had struggled with addiction since his childhood growing up on the shores of Hawaii, but he managed to have several years of sobriety during which he and his wife Jane raised three active, smart, and wonderfully kind children while enjoying suburban life in Ohio. When the addiction grabbed hold of him again in 2015, Jane had to sell the house and their belongings and moved with the kids out to the country to decrease the cost of living, secure work, and find peace. The kids had to leave their school, their friends, and family, and right when the dust began to settle on their new life, and while they were hoping for Adam find sobriety again, they got the call one morning that he had passed away.
Adam loved his kids and Jane tremendously (and they him), and provided well for them during better years. Jane is now working two jobs to support the children while also trying to help them deal with their grief. If you are able, please consider donating to this fund for the children’s future.
