Adam Nixson Scholarship Fund

Donation protected
Adam Nixson was a loving father, faithful husband, favored son, and a friend to many. He was a joyous spirit with an infectious laugh and a strong, dependable character. Lauren Mae was the light of his life; they met 10 years ago by chance, and after years of blissful courting, wed in the summer of 2011.

Adam was an apprentice sheet metal worker in the Kansas City area and was showing great promise with the career he had chosen. He had a passion for live music, fishing, and hunting. Adam and his chocolate lab, Jack, were especially fond of duck hunting.

Just a few days after Christmas, tragedy struck when Adam and Jack went duck hunting - Adam did not return. He was an experienced hunter and was well versed in the safety precautions of the sport. In a heartbreaking turn of events, Adam was taken from us too soon.

At 29 years of age, Adam's life was just getting started. He was the father of two beautiful boys; three-year old James, and one-year old Miles. While the boys may be too young to remember their father, we want to show James and Miles just how much their father was, and will always be, loved and cherished. We believe establishing a scholarship fund will do just that, and serve as a reminder that Lauren and the boys are not left alone in this world.

Please help us ensure these two beautiful boys can grow up to be as strong and dependable as their father. All donations received will fund future educational expenses for James and Miles. We are forever blessed for what Adam brought into our lives and are deeply thankful for your consideration in helping his sons, James & Miles.

Go Fund Me felt I should give everyone more information about who I am and what we’re doing. I suppose they’re right with as much online fraud that occurs today. Frankly, I don’t know everyone donating, so if more info on me will make folks more comfortable and help our cause then I’m in.

My name is Joel Davis, and I live in Liberty MO. Adam Nixson is my son-in-law. His wife Lauren is my daughter, their two boys, my grandchildren. We plan to divide the donations between the two boys and open a Missouri 529 or some other type of college fund. I will be soon talking to my CPA to discuss our options. Every little bit helps. Thank you again for your love, prayers and support. The response has been overwhelming.
