Adam's Memorial Gathering

Adam Valen Levinson died Nov 28 at the age of 35. Adam, we miss you beyond words. You brought so much joy, peace, happiness to so many. You lived more in 35 years than most would in 10 lifetimes.

In his will, and in emails to his friends and family, Adam left detailed instructions for a memorial gathering in his honor. He wanted people to share the things that he loved in life one last time.

Among his plans: Russian Samovar ("can ask to bring the musicians and dancers also"), La Noxe ("for pre-happy hour or post-cocktails ... if you'd like to rent the place out, that could work"), and the Banya spa. The exact details are still TBD, but the plan is to honor as much of Adam's wishes as possible.

He also asked that his friends/family consider contributing to this memorial. Please only contribute if it is not a financial hardship in any way. Adam would not have wanted you to incur any additional strain on his behalf.

He also had this to say about the event:

"I hope y'all will get fershnicket. I'd spell check that but I don't have to do that shit anymore.

"And sorry for how you might be getting this message! It's all fine, I promise — things looking up. Just would love for some of y'all to get together and eat some pickles if you can, with or without me (in spirits). Dumplings are great. Sour cherry vodka is great. Lox is important for the survival of humanity."
