Raising funds for an adaptive chair ski for John “Jack John” Arendt, Wisconsin native.
Every $25 donated is one entry to win a signed Drew Brees JERSEY.
November 2017 John “Jack John” Arendt was struck head-on by a distracted driver while on his way to go skiing.
As his father said, “he survived an unsurvivable crash.” The sheer force of the combined 120 mph crash broke bones in all of his appendages in some fashion. The force sheared John's brain as it passed through his body during the crash. John was diagnosed with a diffuse axonal brain graded as severe to very severe with a grim prognosis. John would never wake up from his coma. He did. He would never rest his head in his mothers arms, look into her eyes and know her love, he does. He would never possess the same smile and laugh. They are there to see, hear and enjoy. He would not be the same person. He is. John was fortunate, he went to the best rehabilitation hospital in the world, his recovery to date even by their high standards is deemed a miracle.
John is in a wheel chair due to his traumatic brain injury. He is now starting to walk a few steps in between the PT parallel bars and he looks forward to skiing again. It will be a while before he can stand on his feet, and he may never be able to go upside down and around and around again, but he lives to feel the rush of the wind, and the rhythm of snow or water as he glides over that surface again.
Every $25 donated is one entry to win a signed Drew Brees JERSEY!
Funds raised will go toward the donation of an adaptive chair ski for John “Jack John” Arendt to continue living his dream, while inspiring us with his recovery.
Once our goal is reached a drawing will be held for the jersey and the winner will be contacted.
Thank you for your donations to inspire athletes to continue to follow their dreams.
