Help Mason get a wheelchair accessible vehicle
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mason. I am 5 years old (almost 6!). I was born with Pelizaeus-Merzbacher Disease which is a progressive and degenerative condition. My diagnosis is spastic paraplegia 2. SPG2 causes me to have vision impairment, abnormal muscle tone and contractions throughout my body, difficulties
pronouncing words, as well as other developmental delays. I use a wheelchair for mobility because I am unable to walk or stand without help.
I really love Minecraft and Hulk!! I love making people laugh and talking to people about my favorite YouTube videos. My favorite things to do are visiting family, playing with dogs, and eating Hershey candy bars.
My mom left her job as a social worker when I was born, she takes care of me by herself. It hasn’t been easy to purchase the adaptive equipment that would make my life easier.
I am raising money to purchase an adaptive vehicle to make it possible for me to travel, especially for doctor appointments. I also need this transportation for school (because I don’t do well on a bus) and for physical therapy.
As I continue to grow, lifting me will become an impossibility.
Thank-you for any support!
