Adaya’s Journey ❤️

Hi, my name is Rylee and i am lucky enough to call Quyn and Braden my best friends, and Auntie and Uncle to my little boy. This past summer while i was about 30 weeks pregnant, she told me the news about her being pregnant with baby number 2, and we were living the dream of spending some of our maternity leaves together.
On the morning of February 25th while Quyn was playing with her daughter Emery she immediately knew something was wrong and woke up Braden who just fell asleep from being on night shift. They rushed to the hospital and soon realized that baby girl may need to be here sooner than planned and that action had to be taken. After many tests and observation from medical professional they were soon rushed off to Victoria General where they would be taken care of, in hopes that they could keep baby in a little bit longer. After a rocky 2 hour flight they made it to Victoria where they will call home for the unforeseeable future. Not long after getting to the hospital baby girl had other plans and further action had to be taken
On the evening of February 25th, at only 27 weeks gestation, Adaya Scottie Victoria Young took her first breath via emergency c-section weighing 2 pounds 11 ounces. She is tiny but boy is she a fighter.
Adaya and Quyn are doing amazing but have a long road ahead of them. They will be in Victoria for a minimum of a month, with a longer stay at UHNBC when that time comes.
These funds will go towards helping them with bills during this extended stay on the island.
Quyn and Braden are two of the most kind, strong, and resilient people i know, and are the first ones to lend out a helping hand when anyone needs it. I am lucky to call them family
