Add extra 100 beds for covid relief
Hi Everyone, I've been in India for last 4 months and due to recent travel bans to Canada starting 22 Apr 2021, there's a chance to get stuck here temporarily and if I'm here at such times, might as well contribute.
We as A-Team could contribute to a noble cause at this covid time crisis to a Local Govt. hospital in my hometown. Even a small amount would help to setup extra beds/mattresses and/or other needs. We came together contributing for a cause and now contributing to another one would strengthen us further.
Requirement:
---------------------
100 mattresses
To add extra beds before COVID cases rise after second wave.
Country: India
Province: Rajasthan
City: Sriganganagar
Facility: Government District Hospital

Projected Goal:
------------------------------------------
INR 120,000
CAD $2,000
USD $1,600
Estimate:
------------------------------------------
Conversion Cost: 24 Apr 2021
1 CAD = 60.06 INR, 1 USD = 74.93 INR
Rough Cost:
------------------------------------------
Sheets + Temporary Mattress:
INR 550-650
CAD 9.16-10.82
USD 7.34-8.69
**short-term use and throw
100x 10.82 = 1082 CAD
100x 8.69 = 869 USD
------------------------------------------
Better Quality Mattress:
INR 1,100-1,300
CAD 18.31-21.64
USD 14.68-17.35
**longer-term usable:
100x 21.64 = 2,164 CAD
100x 17.35 = 1,735 USD
Current Preparations:
-------------------------
As told by a contact in Hospital, they've current capacity for
- 400 beds
- 2 Oxygen generation plant
- plus meds in stock.
Decent arrangement for a small city of 5-600,000 people. But in dire need they might need more beds required and being over-prepared doesn't hurt.
If we're able to raise more than our initial goal, rest of money would go towards more arrangements as there's no upper limit to care provided.
Method of Payment:
---------------------
Whatever amount we're able to contribute (converted in INR), would be used to purchase the goods locally and donated to hospital with help of Local charity and personel involved.
As a proof for transparency we'd be able to get a receipt/certificate for the contribution with mentioned amount.
This being a smaller place and no direct system to pay online, manual intervention is required.
Having 81 people and a goal of $1600 USD/ $2000 CAD.
For different contribution rates we'd need $x per person.
%age No Contribution avg
of people USD CAD
------------------------------------------------------
100% 81 20$ $25
80% 64 25$ $31
60% 48 34$ $42
50% 40 40$ $50
With above reference and this being a team effort, upper limit of what one should spare at max should be around $30-35 USD ($38-$45 CAD).
Please keep the donations anonymous.
