Addiction Aftercare

Dear friends,

This may be one of the hardest things I have to write.

I am currently in treatment for addiction to alcohol. I’m beginning to learn that this is a disease, like diabetes, high blood pressure, and the like. It’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to me.

As of today (10/7/23), I am 16 days sober. My parents are graciously helping me pay for the 5 weeks of treatment I’ll need to get through the acute phase of recovery.

However, I will need partial residential treatment for another month afterwards.

I am unemployed (not related to my disease), and am waiting for unemployment compensation to come through.

if you have the means, and you feel it in your heart, I’ve set up this account to help pay for my aftercare, general living expenses, and beginning to repay my debt to my parents.
