Team Addy Leukemia Assistance

This is my niece, “Addy” Addilyn Nichole Lopez Gonzalez, she is barely 16 months old. On December 1st she went to the hospital and was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Labs, MRI, echocardiogram, platelet transfusions, and bone marrow biopsy, this is only the beginning. If her platelets are therapeutic enough for the procedure she will get a central line placed December 3rd and begin Chemotherapy, current plan is with four kinds of chemo. She will be inpatient at Primary Children’s in Salt Lake, 3 hours from home for at least the next 6 months. We will update as we get more news. 

Up until now both parents have worked. My sister in law Meagan will need to stay with her full time at the hospital. My brother Gilbert will be staying until all initial work up and treatment plan has begun, after that he will drive back as much as he can to spend time with his little girl and wife. Medical expenses will be costly and travel expenses will add up.
