Mother Church is calling!

Addis Ababa Mekane Yesus Church, affectionately known as “Mother Mekane Yesus” has served the Lord, at the current location, for 118 years. The church is within walking distance of the country’s largest higher institution, a significant high school, a major hospital, and residential homes; this is God’s blessing.

We have reached the point where a newly expanded building is necessary for the church to effectively serve the fast-growing membership and keep up with the needs of the century. The new 7-story building will house a theology school, a library, guest houses, a fellowship hall, pastoral residences, and multiple offices.

Construction of the new building began on January 26, 2020; the basement plus two floors have been completed, and the third floor is nearly complete. It is estimated that an additional $3.8 million is needed to complete the building.

Open your hearts and answer the call of the mother church, the early light, to continue to brighten the light of salvation and grace.

ዓላማ፦ የአዲስ አበባ ወንጌላዊት ቤተ-ክርስቲያን መካነ ኢየሱስ አዲስ የሁለገብ ህንጻ ግንባታ ገቢ ማሰባሰቢያ

የአዲስ አበባ ወንጌላዊት ቤተ-ክርስቲያን መካነ ኢየሱስ፣ በኢትዮጵያ የመጀመሪያዋ የሉተራን ቤተ ክርስቲያን በመሆን በ1896 ዓ.ም ተመሠረተች። በመቀጠልም አሁን ምዕመናን የሚገለገሉበት ህንጻ በ 1941 በብር 79,000.00 ተገነባ። ለ 118 ዓመታት የዘለቀው የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቷ የወንጌል አገልግሎት ሰፍቶና አድጎ አዲስ የማምለኪያ ህንጻ በማስፈለጉ፣ ጥር 18/2013 ዓ.ም የአዲሱ ሁለገብ ባለ 7 ፎቅ ህንጻ ግንባታ ሥራ ተጀመረ።

አዲስ ሁለገብ ህንጻ መገንባት ለምን አስፈለገ?

እንደሚታወቀው ቤተ ክርስቲያኒቷ በዙሪያዋ ከፍተኛ የትምህርት፣ የመንግስትና የግል ተቋማት እንዲሁም ብዙ የከተማዋ ኗሪዎች ይገኛሉ። የወንጌል ሥራ ለመሥራት አመቺ ሥፍራና ጥሩ ዕድል አለ። እንዲሁም የቤተ ክርስቲያኗ የምዕመናን ቁጥር እያደገ በመምጣቱ ያንን የሚመጥን አገልግሎት ለመስጠት አሰገዳጅ ሁኔታ ገጥሟታል።

በዚህም መሠረት፤ በውስጡ የስነ መለኮት ትምህርት ቤት፣ ቤተ- መጽሐፍት፣ የእንግዶች ማረፊያ፣ የመሰብሰቢያ አዳራሽ፣ የአገልጋዮች መኖሪያ እና የተለያዩ ቢሮዎችን ያካተተ ግንባታ ተጀምሯል፡፡ የግንባታው ሥራ መሠረት ተጠናቅቆ 3ተኛ ወለል ሙሌት ላይ ደርሷል። ቀሪውን የግንባታ ሥራ ለማጠናቀቅ የሚስፈልገው የገንዘብ መጠን 200 ሚሊዮን ብር ነው፡፡ እርስዎም ለዚህች ቀደምት የወንጌል ፋና ወጊ እናት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ጥሪ የበኩሎን ድጋፍ ያድርጉ ዘንድ ጥሪው ቀርቦሎታል!
