Additional Breast Cancer Treatment

Hi my name is Jonisha, also known as Joni, and I am fundraising to pay for specialized blood work that will help to further guide Metastatic Breast Cancer treatment. This specialized blood work is not covered by my insurance. Just to give a brief background I was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer in November 2021. I was told that my diagnosis is unique due to the fact that I don't have a family history of breast cancer and I was found to have Triple Negative and HER 2 positive cancer cells (2 different types of breast cancer). I am a mother of 4 beautiful and vibrant children ages 14, 12, 4, and 2 years old. I am fighting for my children. They are my WHY. I went through 2 rounds of chemotherapy ( December 2021- April 2022) and again from September 2022 to January 2023. I did radiation therapy in January 2022. My doctor prescribed a chemo pill which did not work well. My body couldn't handle the side effects. I continue to receive hormonal therapy for the HER 2 diagnosis. The cancer appears to now be spreading to my organs. I recently found out via CT and PET Scans that it has spread to my liver. I recently connected with a naturopathic oncologist as it seemed best to connect naturopatic care with the allopathic care that I have been receiving. Naturopathic care has proven to be effective with healing the body however it is expensive and most times not covered by insurance. I'm two years in the fight. I now start the journey with naturopathic care to not only heal my body but to help with not just length of life but quality of life. My hope is that both disciplines will compliment each other with bringing out the best results for my health overall. I was told that someone with my diagnosis is usually given 1 year life span. BUT by the grace of God I am still here today. I am a walking miracle. I don't look like what I've been through or what I continue to battle.
