AddVenture Demo Day
Fundraising deadline goal: August 7th
This summer, the team at Innov8MD had an ambitious idea: a free, self-paced virtual program to support student entrepreneurs as they work on their startups, small businesses, and nonprofits over the summer. We wanted to support the students at the earliest stage of the venture-building process, no matter what their experience level or which institution they came from.
The student response was overwhelming.
We had over 140 applications to the AddVenture pre-accelerator program, and we were determined to accept all of them. Our all-volunteer team worked to design a program - with practically no budget - that could provide education, connection, and mentorship to over 100 students from over 15 different MD high schools, colleges, and universities.
And we did! AddVenture has supported ~100 active student participants with a curriculum, worksheets, daily office hours, topic discussions, mentor meetings, and more. As the 6-week program comes to a close, it's time to prepare for the highlight of the program: The AddVenture Demo Day.
But we need your help.
The AddVenture mentors are 100% volunteer, so we'll need your help in order to fund the 3 Demo Day Prizes for the student entrepreneurs ($500, $250, $250).
Whether you can give $10 or $100, any amount helps support Maryland's student entrepreneurs, and allows us to continue to offer free programs such as AddVenture. As Innov8MD is a registered 501(c)(3), your donation is 100% tax deductible.
