Adele Hopcott Volunteering In Nepal

Hello, My name is Adele Hopcott, I am 24 years old and dedicated to making a difference to the lives of others. By day, I work in a Special Educational Needs school and, in my spare time, I am an active member of the Netherseal Young Farmers club. This summer, I have a unique opportunity to combine my two passions by volunteering in Nepal.

In Nepal, I will be working at a children’s centre and care home where I will organise educational workshops, teach life skills and provide nurture and care to the children both day and night. In addition to this, I will be lending a helping hand on a farm, assisting a family to rebuild after devastating earthquakes. From rebuilding fences and caring for livestock to planting new seeds and harvesting the most recent produce, I aim to contribute in every way possible.

This incredible journey is part of the National Federation of Young Farmers travel programme, organised by ‘My Projects Abroad’. To embark on this meaningful trip, I need to raise a minimum of £3000; these funds will go towards resources for both the children’s centre and the farm, as well as cover my travel expenses.
