Adele Rides Again...with your help!
When the COVID-19 pandemic closed schools, businesses, and everything, it also cut off our daughter Adele from visiting many of the places she enjoys. Happily, her school loaned her a Rifton Adaptive Tricycle over the spring and summer. With her school opening again part-time, they needed the tricycle back.
So we are hoping to get a little help to purchase a tricycle for Adele of her very own!

The benefits of this tricycle for Adele have been many -- she gets actual exercise instead of sitting passively in a stroller, she practices using an alternating step-peddle motion, helpful for walking, and she learns coordination through steering. And with Adele not able to enter most indoor public spaces because of her inability to wear masks, outings on her trike are some of the only ones she is able to fully enjoy.
While this is a great piece of recreational equipment, it is not covered by insurance, and is quite expensive. However, our family will be able to get years of use out of this tricycle, as Griffin is almost tall enough to be able to use it as well! We plan to purchase this as soon as we are able to.
As special needs parents, we are always grateful for the assistance and support of all of our family and friends in helping our kiddos get what they need. We are so appreciative of any help you can provide so we can all help Adele...ride again!
