Adeline's Fight: Overcoming Health Struggles

Hello! If you’re seeing this we’re grateful you’re here! This is Adeline, she is 8, and she has had chronic and ongoing health issues for the last 4 years. Last year she missed 70 days of school and this year she has missed over 50 days of school. We have tried countless meds unsuccessfully.

We have begged and pleaded with our pediatrician for referrals for further testing. In 2024 we saw a GI Dr who did a colonoscopy and upper GI and took biopsies which came back inconclusive. Our pediatrician has referred us to a pediatric rheumatologist FINALLY, we have gotten referred to Texas Children’s in Houston and she has an appointment on May 29th.

I applied for financial travel assistance through our insurance and it was denied with no explanation - just “no, financial assistance is not available”

Cody and I are doing everything we can to make sure that we can get Adeline to this doctor and attempt to improve her quality of life. we KNOW something is happening in her body we cannot explain.
