Fund Me Fundraiser in Loving Memory for: Miss Adella Alexander (Junior/Gary Pottinger’s mom)

Hello Friends:

We are reaching out to help one of ours in our community with memorial and related expenses to lay his mother peacefully to rest in Montreal.

Most of you know Anthony Pottinger aka “Junior” and his family.

Junior has been caring for his mother in Montreal who was in the palliative care unit diagnosed with advanced metastatic cancer and has been flying back and forth on numerous trips to be with her, deal with the doctors and assist with her extensive treatments and care.

Sadly, and unexpectedly upon his quick return to Vancouver to take care of some business, things turned for the worse, and Junior and his family were advised that his mother’s prognosis was a few days or a week to live.

With great sadness and in no time, his mom passed on August 1, 2024.

We are therefore reaching out to ask for help for Junior and his family towards the costs of funeral expenses, flight costs etc., to lay his mother at rest in Montreal per her wishes.

Any contributions/donations that you may assist with will go a long way. Junior and his siblings loved their mom dearly as you can imagine and wanted to be by her side as much as they could and so did miss out on work etc., in BC to be with and care for mom.

Junior is a kind-hearted gentleman who has been there for many in our community. It is in these difficult times that we lean on each other and come together and try to help support however we can. No donation is too small and the mere fact that a contribution is being made is more than generously appreciated. Alternatively, as we know that times are difficult for everyone, even if a contribution cannot be made we would ask if you could kindly please consider sharing and posting this campaign to others.

We would also like to organize a small Celebration of Life/Memorial in Vancouver to honour Junior’s mother so that friends and family can pay their respects and support Junior and his family during this difficult time here. (Information to follow). All contributions/donations will go directly to the family to aid the funeral/service and associated expenses.
