ADHD Is Their Superpower

Hello Everyone

I am taking part in the Dublin Womens Mini Marathon this year and I am So proud and honoured to be able to do so for my beautiful little girls Hailee And Ariah, both struggle on a daily basis with ADHD and until it hit our home I never really knew how deep it went. To so many people ADHD is just "A Hyper Child" the reality of it tho is that it's so much more, Hyperactivity is only 10% of what ADHD is and what people don't know is that it causes major Mental Health Issues even in children as young as Hailee! Having to learn and educate myself on this has made me realise just how uneducated so many people are and just how little resources there are for children & Adults trying to live with ADHD and I want to try bring as much awareness as I possibly can, not just for my own girls but for other families of children or adults trying to navigate life and also for so so many undiagnosed people who may not even realise that alot of their own struggles could be down to underlying and undiagnosed conditions.

ADHD is a Neurological Brain Disorder and it is a life long Disorder and the sooner a child is diagnosed the better the chance they have, with the right help and resources to learn to understand their little minds and when they reach adulthood be able to navigate and succeed in life, ADHD does not make this impossible, yes it may make it alittle harder but never impossible!

ADHD Ireland have helped me in so many ways over this past year with courses, seminars and online training to teach me more and help me understand Hailee & Ariah better so this year I will take part and wear the Tshirt with pride and show my girls that they are truly amazing and they inspired me everyday with their strength as they try to deal with what they don't yet fully understand
