ADHD-An (A)typical Musical

In a time that 8% of the population (that we know of) is affected by ADHD, there's still so much that is not known. Though the stigmas attached to ADHD hold strong, thankfully the science has expanded, and the conversations have broadened. However, as ADHD is very personalized and presents differently for each person, from an ADHD perspective, all the talk in the world (and some of us ADHDer's can't stop talking) will never fully explain the inner workings of the ADHD brain.

As an artist, I felt the best way to facilitate awareness and honor what actually lives in the ADHD brain was to show you!

So, I have gathered a group of vibrant artists, who are a mix of Neurodivergents and Neurodivergent supporters, and through verbatim, devising, and original new music we are bringing to life our Debut piece-ADHD-An (A)typical Musical.

We have been graciously invited by the Etcetera Theatre (Camden, London) to take part in their After Fringe Festival September 3, 4, and 8th. Even though they have been wonderful in supporting new works with affordable space, there is still overhead.

As the arts, (and mental health) have never been stupendously supported, we are humbly asking for donations. The funds will be used to defray the performers traveling costs, necessary props, rehearsal space, tech needs, marketing, and videography. This is a first step. The goal is to create enough of a foundation with these three performances that we are then able to receive funding in which we can further work on the show on a larger scale. A fulfilled vision would include multi-media, larger spaces to incorporate greater movement, and the ability to possibly travel with the show for educational purposes.
