Adian Kennedy Medical Fundraiser

Hi,

My name is Tricia Smith, Adian Kennedy is my nephew. In June, 2023, Adian was rushed to Saginaw Covenant Hospital after suffering three heart attacks, the last one he coded and was brought back by paramedics. After weeks in the hospital doctors found that he had an arterial dissection in his coronary artery which is a disease known as Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD). He was released from the hospital in July with medications he will be on for the rest of his life. We thought this would be the end of his medical issues...we were wrong.

Last week Adian was admitted to McLaren Hospital after suffering a stroke and blockage in his brain. Since this admission doctors have found a 7mm blockage and multiple clots on both sides of his brain. A heart loop was inserted to monitor his heart. Upon further testing he has been diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome disorder. This rare disorder causes the immune system to mistakenly attack normal proteins in the blood; this causes blood clots to form within the arteries, veins, and organs causing heart attacks and strokes.

Unfortunately, Adian’s journey is just beginning...after being released from McLaren, he will be Going to U of M hospital in Ann Arbor to see specialists in his diseases and participate in a case study due to the rareness of his diseases. He will undergo further testing to get answers and treatment. We have no answers as to when he will have to ability to go back to work or what restrictions he will have.

We are asking for help to relieve financial burdens and medical costs that have and will occur. Our goal is for him to have the ability to focus on his health and not worry about financial burdens.

We would like to thank each and every single person who has prayed, called, texted and came to the hospital to be here for our family. Your constant love and support have been appreciated.

We will continue to pray and believe for complete healing and restoration for Adian. We have seen firsthand the miracles God has performed, and we know the He has so much in store for Adian.
