Help for Diann
Donation protected
My sister, Diann, was diagnosed with stage IVB uterine cancer in September 2015. To say it hasn't been easy would be an understatement. At every turn She has experienced set back after set back but she's still trying to be positive and not giving up on herself or letting the medical staff give up on her.
She began chemo treatments right away but was forced to cease when the tumor that had spread to her spine, shattered her vertebra. She underwent spinal fusion of all lumbar vertebra around the first of the year, followed by radiation treatments to try to kill the cancer in her spine. Unfortunately, while recuperating, she developed sepsis and very nearly lost her battle then. Miraculously, she survived, having to undergo temporary dialysis. She has blood clots in her legs and was taking Coumadin But has now developed a reaction to it and can no longer take it.
The current prognosis is grim. The cancer is spreading fast and is aggressive. Chemotherapy is not an option; another infection could kill her. She's experienced an adverse reaction to Coumadin so a blood clot could as well. The cancer is too aggressive for radiation or hormone therapy. They are making her comfortable.
Reality is, Diann is unemployed without life insurance. Though we pray for the best, we must prepare for the worst. We are asking for help to send Diann off to the "promised land" in style, or at least as she wishes. We don't want her to know we are doing this, for her to think we are giving up on her. If you would like to make a donation, it would be greatly appreciated but please, don't tell her. If you contact her or think of her, send her thoughts of healing, not thoughts of the end. Thank you for your support.
