Adkins Family Medical Expenses

All funds raised go to the Jeff & Kelly Adkins family for Chloe’s medical expenses. Chloe has a double-diagnosis of CRMO and lymphoma. Any donation amount will help and all are greatly appreciated.

This spring, Chloe (9) was diagnosed with Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis or Chronic Non-bacterial Osteomyelitis (CRMO / CNO). It is a rare, bone disease. “In a properly functioning system, inflammation is normal and is the way the immune system protects us from infections and germs. However, in CRMO, there is no infection. The immune system wrongly attacks normal bone and causes inflammation.”

Chloe has 2 bone lesions and has been receiving treatment.

CRMO testing/treatment revealed nodules in Chloe’s lungs. A biopsy confirmed she also has stage 4 classic Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Doctors are confident the lymphoma is treatable but we all know medical bills are not cheep.

So far this year, Chloe has had 4 MRIs, 2 surgeries, 2 CTs, 4 X-rays, and more labs and appointments than we can list. She’s seen 9 specialists and 2 different children’s hospitals. Now Chloe will have 4-6 rounds of chemo an hour away from home.

This brings many unexpected expenses: doctor bills, gas to and from treatments, hospital stays, more labs/testing, even snacks while just waiting at appointments with young kids.

Chloe is a tiny warrior and has focused on raising awareness and funds for CRMO charities while bravely going to her own appointments.

Speaking as a friend and colleague, the Adkins family is always a blessing to those around them. From helping out a friend or volunteering time with countless local organizations.
