SUPPORT ADOPT A BACKPACK 2024

Hello, I'm LuAnn and I live in Jericho, Vermont. Several years ago my husband and I started organizing our ADOPT A BACKPACK school supply drive. We started small just handing out a few supplies at our local food shelf distribution.

In 2023 we filled over 125 backpacks with supplies and gave them out at our local food shelf, and to students and schools in Underhill, Jericho, Essex, Williston, Winooski, Milton and more. We also were able to purchase scientific calculators for high school students, and supply several teachers in various schools with gift cards to help buy supplies for their classrooms. Each year that we have done this the need has increased. We may not get to cover all the need, but we are trying to mitigate as much as we can. It takes about $35 to fill a backpack. Last year several businesses, our local food shelf and members of the community supported our efforts. We are looking for donations to fund ADOPT A BACKPACK in 2024 to purchase backpacks and school supplies. We greatly appreciate any donation.
