Adopt the Cortes Hernandez Family

This is Victor Cortes Hernandez and his family. He's 28 years old, and was born with kidney disease and has required frequent hospitalizations and dialysis from a young age. Along with the kidney disease, he's developed severe secondary hyperparathyroidism and jaw tumor syndrome causing significant facial deformity and risk for respiratory failure. He's also had multiple broken bones due to his disease, and is no longer able to walk.
He has been working on gaining citizenship, however continues to face challenges. Thus, he has no insurance and comes to Tampa General Hospital for dialysis 3 times per week. His wife and daughter (now age 7) unfortunately live an hour away because his wife is holding a post office job. He would previously drive back and forth to Ft. Myers 3 times a week, but would get into repeated car accidents driving late after dialysis, and now stays with his mother in Tampa. He has significant PTSD from years of hospitalization as a child, and has trouble being in a hospital alone. Victor works on the side fixing old cars and selling them, but they have still been struggling to make ends meet. Most recently, Victor had parathyroid surgery, and has been hospitalized for the last 10 days.
Victor is hopeful for a kidney transplant someday when he is able to gain citizenship, and for facial surgery to correct his facial deformities. In the meantime, he just hopes to take care of his family as best he can.
Please help us provide them some joy and financial relief this holiday season!
