Adopt-A-Plant

WHO WE ARE:
Project Climate is a club founded at Heritage High School located in Brentwood, California. This organization aims to educate communities about the effects of climate change and implementing mitigable solutions.


PROJECTS: 

With the climate crisis looming in the near future we wanted to take action. This year we created a club, Project Climate, at Heritage High school just to do that. We hosted Walk to School events, collected Crayola makers to recycle, and grew oak saplings. The saplings were grown using ONLY old materials, including over 500 milk cartons and jugs. To conserve water we even designed water collection systems. After contacting many, we found a home for all of the trees at California State University East Bay. DONATIONS: 

With every $2 donated, we will be donating a sapling to Cal State East Bay.  East Bay will be planting these saplings on their campus for a carbon sequestration project. All profits will go towards supporting the non-profit known as Amazon Watch.
