Adria Lehmann bring her father home to Germany
Donation protected
If you know Adria Lehmann, you know two things: she is the definition of a crazy horse girl, and her work ethic is insane! Neither of those attributes would be Adria if it weren’t for her father, Heinz.
Heinz passed away on Father’s Day. His passing has undeniably been hard on Adria and Nilda, but Adria has transformed her mourning and loss, into motivation – something her father taught her. Adria wants to take her father back home to Kiel, Germany and invest in the farm's future.
My name is Colleen, and I've been Adria's friend and partner in crime for almost 10 years; I am asking for donations to help Adria take her father home (travel to Germany) to rest and to devote funds to preserving the home and farm built by Heinz’s blood, sweat, and tears. The farm has hit some financial difficulties with Heinz's passing, and the future is on rocky seas. Adria, like her father, never asks for help or expects a handout, but she deserves to make this happen for Heinz.
Heinz, a German native, chased Adria’s Cuban mother, Nilda, across the Atlantic in his boat, the “Colorado,” until they settled in South Alabama. When Adria was born, Heinz raised his only daughter to be tough as nails, but with a huge heart and an intense love for horses. Heinz put his own passion for sailing aside, dry docked the “Colorado”, and never returned to Germany; he worked tirelessly to provide Adria with a barn at home so she could pursue her passion.
While Adria has built her business and her professional riding career from the ground up, she has always credited all of her successes to her father, Heinz. When Heinz grew weak, barely able to walk, he would sit on the back porch to watch Adria teach and ride; she kept his spirit and fire alive by doing what she loves most.
Please give whatever you can, and thank you for all your support.
