Adrian Newcomb Memorial Scholarship

The Newcomb family and New River United (NRU) mourn the loss of the amazing, talented and tenacious Adrian Newcomb.  Adrian was a former NRU player who went on to star at Blacksburg High and continued playing into college at Mary Washington.  She ultimately graduated from Virginia Tech and was living and working in Fort Collins, Colorado.  Adrian's passion for soccer was undying; she played recreation league soccer as an adult at Virginia Tech, in Roanoke and in Fort Collins.  In her honor, we inaugurate the Adrian Newcomb Memorial Scholarship. Funds donated to NRU in Adrian's name will support this scholarship for a college-bound NRU player.
