Adriana Pletcher Accident Recovery Fund

My name is Natalie and my family and I are setting up this GoFUND Me for my sister Adriana. On Sunday, January 29th, Adriana was outside of the car with her dog when she saw it coming at her and not breaking. She pulled her dog out of the way but didn’t have enough time to move herself out of the way. The car struck her so powerfully, she flew over the top and came crashing down on the right side of her body on the road below. She was rushed to the trauma unit of Greenville Memorial where she has been being treated. The impact of the crash caused her right shoulder to completely dislocate and rip out of socket while breaking the shoulder bone and socket. As well as tearing the tendons and ligaments that connect the muscles and bones. Her large intestines along her back are severely bruised and they have been monitoring for internal bleeding. She also broke her right tibia at the top where it connects to her knee, which also tore her meniscus. After 2 days of waiting for their surgery team to come up with a treatment plan and for the swelling to go down, they were able to operate. Adriana had a 7-hour surgery yesterday, Wednesday, to rebuild and repair her shoulder and socket as well as her leg and knee. They put pins and plates in both, and although the surgery was successful from what they can see now she will not be able to move as she did before, ever. The doctors are recommending a live in rehabilitation center once released from the hospital, as well as outpatient rehab following that release. They are projecting 10-12 weeks of recovering time in a wheelchair and around the same for her shoulder.

We are asking first for your prayers, and if you are able to contribute financially to help Adriana while on the road to recovery. Every penny will be going to her regular bills and medical bills, so she is able to focus on healing mentally and physically without having to worry about finances. We are unsure when she will be able to return to work, but we know it will be months.

Today Adriana will wake up in the worst pain of her life, and this will be a long and difficult journey for her to recover.
