Adriana, young Mum with cancer

Adriana is the loving mother of two young boys aged 1 and 3. At the beginning of April her world was turned upside down with the diagnosis of Stage 3 Metastatic Breast Cancer. Her condition means she has limited mobility due to pain. Adriana is undergoing intensive medical treatment but also requires multiple additional therapies and treatments to keep her comfortable.

Firstly, Adriana wishes to express her deep gratitude for the spontaneous assistance which she has received from a variety of people in the short time since her diagnosis. This help has eased the immediate burden on her family and she is touched by your kindness and generosity.

For those of you who know Adri, she is a beautiful, loving woman who is devoted to her husband Tom and her sons Beau and Luca. Having moved from overseas 7 years ago to be with our family, Adriana devoted much of her time as a volunteer at a bird and native animal hospital, and plans to study vet nursing when her children go to school. She loves nature and has always been a keen wildlife adventurer. She treads lightly on this Earth and never asks for anything.

Any donation large or small which can help Adriana with the cost of prescriptions, out of pocket fees and to receive medically recommended complimentary therapies in the long road ahead would be such a welcome help. It would also be wonderful if Adri could afford items that made her life more manageable, comfortable and enjoyable as well as a buffer against rental expenses. Tom and Adri have spent the past years saving for a deposit for their first modest home in the countryside but those plans are now on hold. We hope that the costs of cancer and the associated adjustments to life that it brings, doesn’t end their dream which was so close to reality.
